Did anyone catch the 2nd episode of Bunheads on ABC Family?  There was a cardigan welsh corgi in the later half of the episode. I am not sure if it is a recurring character or not since it is a fairly new show (from the creator of Gilmore Girls so if you like Gilmore Girls  I think you will like Bunheads) but was so excited to see a corgi on tv.

Well, it has been a week today since Kali got spayed.  She is raring to go and acts like she has never had anything done. Of course she still has her stiches in so she still has her cone on (we get the stiches out on Tuesday) and orders from the vet to stay calm.  She had a little fluid under the skin which came from too much activity. Kali got spayed on Thursday. Everything went well and we are now in the recovery process. Thursday and Friday she was quiet and slept a lot. Today is a different story - she seems back to her happy energetic self! Trying really hard to keep her from jumping on things and running at full speed. Her stitches look good and there is no swelling but any hints on how to keep her quiet for as long as possible so she doesn't pull the stitches out. She has gotten used to the cone to keep her from…

First of all, thanks for all the advice on the crate issue! Kali is doing much better settling down at night - the trick seemed to be leaving her in there and not letting her out - no matter how much I wanted to and giving her a kong with a treat in it. Kali graduated from basic obedience class last week w/flying colors! We still have one ear that flops so still taping. Quick question for the boards. Kali has been sleeping in her crate since I got her. Now all of sudden when I put her in her crate for the evening, she has started carrying on and really barking before settling down for the night. No changes that I can think of and I have checked her crate and nothing wrong in there. Any thoughts? She is teething but I have given her things in her crate that she likes to chew on. Thanks for any advice.

Robin and Kali

Kali went to her first Pet Expo today. Lots of people and lots of dogs. Saw one Pembroke and two Cardigans. She got a ton of attention and comments. Of course, the majority of people had no idea what kind of dog she was. I got is she a Heinz 57 dog, a blue heeler and a mix with a dalamation - guess the spots make people think Dalamation. I gently informed them she was a full bred Corgi. She had a great day and is now very exhausted and sleeping like a baby.
