My best friend in the world lost his battle with the most terrible and cruel disease on the face of the planet, Degenerative Myelopathy. I noticed Cyber wasn't eating his food on Tuesday night. Two nights ago, I took Cyber out in our back yard for his 11pm walk. Cyber is confined to a K-9 cart as he has lost the ability to utilize his rear legs to support his weight. After we were out about 10 minutes, Cyber took of on a dead run for our boat dock. I ran after him with thoughts of having to dive in the cold lake to retrieve his fuzzy butt before he sank to the bottom. Today, my girlfriend took Cyber for his once a week acupuncture treatment at our local vets office. After Cyber's weight was taken, she turned around to put him back in his wheelchair and he was gone.
