Ok, our family is just going crazy not having a name to call our little tricolor girl corgi. They don't want to wait until she is home to see more personality.

I want a girlish name. Maybe Irish or the color Green somehow since she was born on St. Patrick's Day. Maybe Welsh since the breed is from Wales. Maybe NASCAR since we live in Mooresville nicknamed Race City USA since 90+ NASCAR teams call us home. Maybe something sweet, chocolate or coffee related. Maybe something heart/love related because she looks like she's got a heart on her forehead. Maybe British since the Queen has a few.

I appreciate any and ALL ideas. Thanks so much for your help!

I love the heart on her forehead, ours looks like he has a heart on his butt! I have a pic on my page of it! It's so cute! As far as names, a friend of mine had a corgi when I was growing up and her name was Welbie. I always thought that was cute. They had the "Welsh" in the name.

OK, I had suggestion from a friend we call her "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" That way we get the Lucy my hubby and I like, and the boys get the "Diamond" part they like. If we do thise, we'll call her Lucy. But I think we'll just wait til she's her and see if it fits.

I like Erin, that's really cute. Shamrock is too, Shammie for short. It's unique. Patty is a good name too. Our pup was born 5/4, not sure yet if we are getting a boy or a girl, so we are working on the name thing too. It's really hard to find the perfect name! Good luck, let us know what you choose!

I was thinking Erin or Lucky for the St. Patty's day theme. I had already picked out the name Riley when I got my puppy, but I looked into irish names because I have this thing with ireland and red hair :) There are a bunch of cute female names - I googled "irish names" there's quite a few lists including the meaning (and pronounciation) of the names.

If I was getting a mixed pair it would probably be Tristram & Yseult, after the lovers of legend (Tris & Izzy in daily use). Graine (Grace, as in O'Malley, the pirate queen), Boudica (as in the warrior queen of Celtic Britain), or Beryl (as in the shade of green) also come to mind.

You can try looking up the word "green" in different languages. For example, the Japanese word for green is Midori - very cute... and also the name of a melon liqueur.

Another thing you can do is think of shades of green (kind of like Karen & Bailey mentioned re: Emmy)... ie: Jade, Olive... can't think of another shade! Maybe that was a dead end.
