Lily is home with us now. She had a rough day at the vet's though. Sadly there were a lot of pet emergencies so they had to delay her surgery a few hours. Lily is really out of it with the pain meds and is sleeping right now. They told me to try some water, which she drank. Unfortunately she threw up all the water and a lot of bile too, so I am keeping a close eye on her. She weighed in at 13 pounds, so I am really pleased with that. I am so glad that she is home where I can take care of her. Thanks to all of you who said prayers for her today. I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks Sam and D&B! I appreciate the well wishes. Lily is actually quite good today. She has tinkled a lot overnight and is up walking around without the drugged look in her eyes. Lily wanted some water this morning first thing, but we only gave a little at first to make sure she did not vomit. When my husband started cooking breakfast, she walked around sniffing and trying to find the food, so I think she is almost back to her normal self. Thanks again :)

Glad Lily is home. She is probably feeling the residual effects of the anesthesia. It does take them awhile to process it out of their body. Tomorrow she should be feeling much more like herself. If they sent you home with pain meds use them the first few days for sure.
