So two weeks ago daddy started acting funny in our little apartment. One afternoon he brought in a bunch of boxes that smelled like eats and other interesting things! I thought they were toys and jumped through them sniffing and playing making daddy laugh.

Then for some strange reason he started putting things in these boxes. Mommy only did this when she came to visit and when she was done she would leave us for long periods of time! I was getting worried and over the next few days tried to show daddy by shedding A LOT and being as close to him as possible.

Mommy came the end of last week and I was so happy. We played and ran around the river and saw a lot of our friends and I got to play with all my doggy friends! It was like a little doggy bbq! Then she started putting stuff in those boxes again too... and while I was happy there was so much space for me to run around the apartment I was getting really really nervous. THEN THEY PACKED MY TOYS! My TOYS! They left out some.. but were they going to leave me? In this apartment? Empty with a few toys?!

When everything was all in the boxes and mommy and daddy were sleeping on some blue thing on the floor more of their friends came over and we had another party! But it was odd because they started taking the boxes outside... I didn't know where they were going because they put me in my crate since I tried to stop them by tripping everyone as they tried to go outside! A few hours later they let me go next door and play with grey and black cat. When I came back EVERYTHING WAS GONE! but I got some pizza that had magically appeared and was a very happy pup *urp*. Then ran as they started cleaning everything!

That night I got to hang out with mom and dad in their den since my crate was gone :( but it was neat because I never got to sleep with them! I squished myself between them and made them laugh then woke mommy up early early in the morning by making play chirping noises into her face. I think it scared her to wake up to a giant fuzzy face cuz she jumped a little waking daddy up! I was so proud of myself I frapped all over the thing they were laying on!

Then after picking up everything else we went outside and I got to be mommy's copilot while daddy climbed into a giant yellow thing! The trip was long(10 hours) and very hot .. mommy was worried my little brains were going to melt out of my head since the ac was broken in the jeep and all we had was the open windows. I survived somehow but tried to turn the AC on a couple times by sticking my nose into the vents. Halfway through we got to see my cousin and grandma and grandpa but left after an hour or so.. back on the road...

We finally got to aunties house and I got to finally go to the bathroom! *phew* it was so hot outside so mommy put me up in aunties room for a long long time with some water.. I promptly fell asleep after letting them know a couple times that I didn't appreciate being put into a room from a car! After a while mommy and auntie came and got me and back into the car we went after meeting the other dog that lived there! (so thats why mommy hid me away for a while).

Then we went to uncles house where mommy was staying and they unpacked all my toys! I got to play with my cousin in the big back yard for a long time and we've been staying here since! Though mommy and daddy leave a lot I guess to do human things.. Im ok with staying here...

Im still confused but I think Im fine! Mommy says we'll be moving into our new home on tuesday so Im very excited to meet my new family (two roomies) and new home!

Cars can be so hard on our pets, and with all these heat waves popping up it's hard to keep cool. Especially with no AC. She'll spring right back from it though. It is amazing how adaptable they are.

It snows there too. I'm sure that when it comes she'll remember it and want to go romping out in the white fluffy stuff.

Thank you :) it wasn't so bad just the hot hot car that had me worried :( Everytime we stopped though to gas up I let her out to get some fresher air. She's def. a wind surfer though heheh. (head out window)

I think she'll get used to the VA weather as well since these little guys easily adapt. We just need to give her a lot more water and watch her a little closely since its hotter longer down here. I think she'll miss the snow though :(

D'awww! I love puppy POV stories! Good luck with the move. I'm glad the trip wasn't that hard on everyone.
