Oh you silly girl!

I haven't updated in a while but I just couldn't stop giggling at this one.

Took Roxi to figure out what exactly she was allergic to (finally) and a REALLY expensive trip later, learning she's allergic to pretty much the world + cotton! I had the funniest drunk acting dog stumbling to the car.

A few weeks ago I had the same thing from Charlie after getting his teeth cleaned + fatty lump removed.

The Heat Factor

I know some people on here are having the same issue... they share their pups with significant others and somehow end up doing most of the work despite discussions... explanations... serious sit downs.. and going on strike.

I'm in the same boat mostly. He tries to keep up to date on everything... put his input in.. but doesn't research everything before he tries it... and the frustration is mostly he needs to spend time with them. He gets upset when they listen to me more then him… Continue

First Charlie Bear heart attack.... rant.

If you have a dog.. that may be grouchy towards other dogs.. DO NOT allow your teenager with their five friends take it to the dog park...

I am trying to be a calm mommy... I was a calm mommy at the dog park.. but really.. I wanted to corner those kids and chew them out till they cried..

No nobody didn't really see how it started but Charlie isn't really one to pick a fight.. Plus after the incident their dog started picking fights with other dogs...

VA Snow Days

Well it looks like this week is done and I can't concentrate on work.. (sometimes working from home is a negative). It's too snowy and beautiful outside. We're right in the thick of it.. just outside of DC where they showed all the red bars.. tomorrow we'll have about 40+ inches on the ground with both storms added.

Just a we are alive and well post :)

As I sit here I'm about to go into my final week of school and Thur will dive into a mind numbing creation of my portfolio website for graphic/web design.. phew.. The barking dog

Roxi has always been the quiet one *knocks on wood* so when we got Charlie we were not ready/used to a talker/barker to that magnitude.

I've had friends mention that we should use a shock collar on him and while I know shockers can be useful in their own right.. I wasn't ready to take it to that extreme. Seperation Anxiety

So training and everything has gone well and Charlie has been adapted well into the mix of daily life.

Though we've come to a brick wall and now, staring at it trying to think of the best way to confront it.

When we first got Charlie he cried a little bit in his crate at night but then that went away. At night it is fine and he understands that sometime in the morning someone will come and let him out.

A Charlie update.

So figured it was time to give an update on Charlie-boy. It was a little bit ago that we adopted him and was deciding on keeping him or not.

Well needless to say he is one of the family now. Napping happily to my right.

Charlie Pics

Roxi has a new older brother!

'Charlie' is a four year old tri-semi-fluff rescue that we had just adopted from a family member (a dog lover who saved him from other family members) who was trying to find a home instead of drop him off at a pound.

I survived my first camping trip!

Thursday morning mom started packing some of my stuff. I started getting worried that we were moving again since we've done it a few times already in the last year so I huddled against her and pouted till she petted me and reassured me. The vest makes the difference!

So today we had a very fun time! Grandma and Grandpa moved back from Germany into their old house and mom brought me over to play with cousin Apex and go to the lake!

Oooooo Some people get to me... train your dog.

Seriously.. I've heard this from many people on here but I've never personally have had a bad issue in a dog park yet...

The big move

So two weeks ago daddy started acting funny in our little apartment. One afternoon he brought in a bunch of boxes that smelled like eats and other interesting things! I thought they were toys and jumped through them sniffing and playing making daddy laugh.

The visit ramble

Well they came and they left... Roxi's first visit to the grand ol' Washington DC.. She seemed to enjoy it and I'm happy since we'll be here for a little while :).

The first couple minutes they were here, she met her first other corgi besides her siblings when we first got her.. A little ball of fluff the neighbors picked up since they lost their other corgi and its sibling is about to pass away as well.. I'm all a flutter!

It may only be a week but sometime tonight Roxi and her daddy are showing up for a week :)

My only worry is Ms. Apex her "sister" my brother's husky. (My mom started the whole family naming system for pets.. we grew up with it.. so aka my brother is Roxi's uncle.. and so on.) She's gotten a lot better and we've introduced her with other dogs so I felt it was finally ok for Roxi to stay for a while. It really is like having a child.

As most of you know, after joining the group a month or so later I had to move away down to DC. Jobs up in Vermont were few or not paying enough to stay where we settled for the time. So it was sorta forced before I went completely bankrupt.

In the event I allowed Chris to keep Roxi to keep him company and knowing that the home I was moving to had a dog that wouldn't get along with her.
