Ein is at his first day of doggy day care. We didn't think he was getting enough exercise or socialization, so we've decided to try doggy day care for the day. We definitely won't take him there every day-it's too expensive. But, maybe once a week, we'll see how he does today.

Well his first day went wonderful. Eric was able to see Ein play on their webcamera a bit. He was such a tired puppy when I picked him up, but he was ready to play again about 9pm that night. We are going to try and make it a regular thing now, once a week or so.

Spencer went to daycare for the first time last week. I thought I would try a 1/2 day just to see...he had an amazing time!!!! The two nicest things that happened....I could vacuum without him trying to kill "the purple monster" aka the vacuum cleaner, and the second thing was when I brought him home, he was EXHAUSTED!!!! :-)

I agree. It runs about $30 a day at the facility we choose. But, they have a nap time, pool time, they will feed your dog and give them medicine. Plus, it is on my husband's way to work, and they have a webcamera, so I can try and see Ein during the day (when the work firewalls don't block it). Plus, he isn't in a kennel all day, he gets to run around, which is the best part of all.

Ginny's first day at daycamp resulted in her coming home, plopping down in the middle of the floor on her back with her legs straight up in the air oblivious to anything going on and zonked out all night. It wore her out totally and that was great! I was able to get some stuff done that night without velcro-doggy tripping me wherever I went. It's nice for us to go once a week because she's a lot less antsy when she's been there. Too bad it is so much $$$. Oh well.

I love doggy day care and wish we could afford it for a couple of ours who "don't play well with others." Good luck, Ein! Show 'em who's the doggie-boss!

Oh my goodness, Doggy Daycard helped Wyatt so much. We used to take him to one here in Lexington Ma and he would run and play all day. Wyatt has a little aniexty and a bit of a napoleon complex so he would drive us crazy at night, so daycare actually helped him with his socialization with other dogs and now hes so much better. Hes not scared of dogs and not mean to them. He does not go anymore because it got a bit expensive too, and we want to buy a house. So we just take him walking each night or to the park to play with his ball. I was also happy with this daycare because they didnt crate their animals while they were there, they walked them, fed them and let them play, kind of just like kids daycare. I hope it works out for Ein, I am sure he will have a blast if its anything like the one Wyatt went too.
