Embarassing!

Ok so, Didi and I were playing fetch on the driveway. I threw the ball and it went behind my car so that Didi had to go on the other side where I couldn't see her. Just as she went around the side, a motor cycle passed. She burst back into view barking and with her fur all sticking up.
I thought that the motorcycle sound bounced off the garage and sounded like it was coming from inside and startled her. I made her come to me and sit-stay while I went to go get the ball. As I was walking to get the ball, backwards to make sure she stayed, she was looking at me like I was going to my DEATH.
I turn around and look around, not seeing anything out of the ordinary, just a big leaf. I reach down to get the ball, which is next to the leaf. That's when the leaf MOVES and I stumble back with a yelp. That's when Didi breaks out barking again and starts wiggling in place.
It was a baby DOVE, sitting very very still and not making a sound. I hardly noticed it against the cement because of the soft color. I shooed it with my foot and got my ball.
So. My dog is horrified by doves.
Don't tell the dogs at the dogpark. :(
