Things were looking so good for Riley he was eating his food again, full of energy and just acting like nothing was wrong and he was his total normal self. Well yesterday he decided he didn't want to eat anything. He drank some water and milk but that was it. I still believe there can be a miracle but we definatly dont want our best friend to suffer so I dont know what to do. We are in such pain right now I feel as if my best friend is dying and a part of me is missing. It is not over yet please keep us in your prayers and if anyone has been through the death of a great dog I need to hear from you. Thanks

I keep trying to think of all the good times so I will not be so sad. Riley would bite the vacuum cleaner while you were sweeping and he even got his tooth stuck in it but that didnt stop him! He would bite the slide(as you can see in his video)He loved food more than anything! If I was telling him goodbye and you were cooking meat...he didnt know i existed! Whenever I was sad he knew and gave me kisses until I stopped or laughed. He hated being dressed up but he just looked so darn cute!!My mother had a daycare and he really didn't like children so if they got too near he would smile at them and walk away, never did he try to bite! He was sooo good!Riley hated baths or the word stinky! He would put his head down if you said them, but if you said shower he would run and jump in the tub! He also knew the words ride and walk so we would have to spell them out if we didn't want him to know what we were talking about. He also hated the words lets brush your teeth! He was soo funny! He loved chasing any creature that ran or flew outside and when you said get the mole he would digg at the dirt.I remember the day he got one and I freaked out not knowing what to do! He also got a squirrel one day! There are sooo many happy memories I have with this dog and I know that we gave him a great life! He was soo spoiled and even now as he isn't feeling well he knows it. We love him so much!

I lost my heart dog, Courtney, in 2001. I know exactly how your feel. You, your family, and Riley are in my thoughts and prayers.

I lost my best friend kippen, a female corgi in March. She was only eight and had progressive kidney failure. My decision to let her go was the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I know that it was the right decision as I know she is happy now. My thoughts are with you and I am wishing you the best.

CorgiMom and I are keeping you in our prayers. It's so difficult to make a decision like this. It's just too painful. Bailey is fortunate to know you, love you and be loved by you. No living thing could ask for more. As you walk him to the Bridge, know your corgi family is here with you. Our Rudy will be there to greet him when the time comes.

We are so sorry for what you are going through. We lost our "once in a lifetime dog" last Oct. Charlie still misses his best buddy Casey. Just remember all the good times and don't dwell too long on the difficult ending. As hard as it is to say goodbye, your life has been so blessed to have had such a wonderful friend and companion. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Riley.

I am so sorry.....as I write this, I am sitting here crying. Losing a pet is very very difficult. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this painful time. You have the right attitude though, remember all the good times you have had and how much you enriched each other's lives! Take care of yourself and keep us all posted.
