I can barely see through the tears as I type. I have been looking at old photos and videos trying to cheer up. I haven't lost him yet, but the time is coming. We take him to the vet saturday and I know what he is going to recommend...Riley seems to be just so tired. He keeps staring off into space and doesn't know if he wants to sit or stand..He tries to follow me everywhere and I feel bad that he keeps getting up..I want him to relax. He decided to eat today so I gave him my sandwich. Whatever he wants at this point. I took him for a ride, his favorite thing. His hair blowed in the wind and he closed his eyes and smelled the wind..He seemed so peaceful. That will be a happy memory to add to all the others..I will definatly put more videos on here when I get a chance because there are so many things I want to share. Thank you all for caring so much, it means so much and it's nice talking with people who understand that a dog is more than a dog..it's family!

I know how hard this is. My heart aches for you. Warm and peaceful thoughts go out to you both. They give us so much in their short lives...You are in my prayers...

Bucky and I will take a moment out this weekend and kick the ball, run and jump, and remember the joy he must have given you through the years. Cheers to a dog's life well lived!!

I am so sorry to hear about Riley. I am crying for you right now ( which might make you laugh because my boss just came into my cube and saw me crying. He asked what was wrong and I had to think of something fast becuase I can't be on the internet so I couldn't tell him that I had just read your post. Plus he is not a dog person and woulnd't care). Continue to give him the best these last few days and I am just soo sorry for you.

I am so sorry. I am about to lose my pet hedgehog (to aggressive oral cancer) and it's tearing me apart inside. I'm sure it's no where near how it feels to lose your puppy :( *Sending you lots of hugs*

I cant express enough in words the sadness of losing a pet brings, give Riley lots of hugs from us too! You gave Riley a great life of happiness and fun and he gave you that back in return. Stay strong in the coming days ahead, remember all the great memories you had with him. I will never forget Riley.
So sorry for all the pain Riley and you and your family are going through. Natalie
