This is what we've learned about Milo this weekend. He loves people. He loves to shadow me and if its in a place he can't go he will stay with my boyfriend by his feet. If I followed the Ceasar Milan's way of training...I did everything wrong. According to him, you are supposed to treat him like a dog first and then give him cuddles later. I'm trying to maintain pack order but it is very hard when our male dog absolutely despises him and Freya is being possessive. We have had to kick out one of the two males either outside or in their crate to give them time inside. Is that wrong?

Milo is really good about walking. He only pulls a little. He points and will run after a cat if he sees one. So I suspect he shouldn't be in a home with cats--though...he maybe rehabilitated. He is terribly food aggressive when it comes to dogs. He is a completely different dog when it comes to that.

It only took him a few hours to learn his new name. Of course, I think that name was meant to be, which made it easier. I tried calling him Bailey for a second and it just didn't fit.

He loves to give kisses. He'll lick me randomly--whenever. He'll eat out of my hands and does so gently using only his tongue to get food. He is tense about having people touch his tail. He's ok with the ears..but the tail is something I need to work with him.

I'm not sure about bathing yet. I can't bathe him until they take the stitches out. I also don't want him to be around our male until then as Milo still needs to heal. Also, I'm not wanting him to get too excited due to his heartworms.

He is very good with crates. He hasn't pottied in there at all. I have also been feeding him in the crate so that may have helped. He also hasn't pottied in the house...yay! I am currently trying to get him used to carrots...hehe...so I've been putting it in his food.

He won't eat a chewie unless I hold it. I guess he's never had it before--he tries to chew it for a little bit and gives up. He will continue with it if I hold it. He looks just like Freya when he's doing that--she's the exact same way. It's so weird.

So far, everything is as good as it can be. I just need to wait until he can truly interact with our dogs before we can fully try again to integrate him.
