Well, Miso has been home for a little under two weeks now! She's a great little puppy! Everyone loves her, and what's even better, she loves everyone (even the vet...for now! We'll see what she thinks of him after she goes in for her shots the week after next)! Potty training and crate training is going well, she hasn't had nearly as many accidents as I expected!

She's a very sweet little puppy. Spoiled rotten already, though! We have one heck of a time getting her to eat out of a food bowl. It usually involves me picking up a kibble, showing it to her, then putting it back in the bowl when she tries to eat it out of my hand. So food time is...interesting, with Miso. And ever-so-slightly irritating.

Still haven't started teaching her the tricks I want her to learn. She's just so dainty with her treats, and she has trouble focusing on just one thing for more than ten seconds! Hopefully when she gets a little bit older, I can start clicker training her.

All in all, though, she's a very sweet puppy. I just can't wait until she actually grows up. I must be weird, I like dogs when they actually grow up and get big, they're much more fun then!

Sparty was a little finicky with food as a puppy too. We used to work at getting him to eat it. As he got older he became food aggressive and the trainer we went to said we should have just put the food down for about 15 minutes and then picked it up until the next feeding. She said we trained him to be food aggressive. We broke it by bringing him half his food and after he started eating bring the rest. If he growled we put it back and he had to wait to the next meal to eat. It cured him. So long story but be careful about being too concerned about food. Good luck with your puppy, she sounds great.
