This is an instinctive behavior that most pups outgrow. The mom keeps the nest clean that way. It is not so disgusting to them. I agree, just try to keep her area clean and give a firm no when she shows too much interest in her poops. It can become a habit and probably not a healthy one so you can try a little pineapple or over the counter stuff if that doesn't work.

The best thing to do is cleaning them up before the dog has a chance. You can try food additives, the home remedies pineapple juice or canned pumpkin or the commercial products Forbid or Deter.

Put Accent in her food. Makes poo taste bad. This does work.
