We took Brynn to the Corgi meet on Saturday and it was interesting ... There were so many other corgis there , around 25 , and it was a bit overwhelming . I was in Corgi Heaven !! Brynn was worried from the get go .She let a few dogs sniff her and was doing fine while on leash , but when we let her go , a group of other Corgis ran after her and pinned her down . Brynn started to cry out so i went to get her and more dogs came and she ran and we were all trying to grab her so they wouldn't tackle her again .LOL Poor baby . She was so tiny compared to all the others. The only puppy there. I had to hold her with her little heart racing to calm her down .We stayed another 20min. so she wouldn't leave on a sour note and let others come to her and smell her etc.. Even with the "abduction "incident we will go back next month and try again . The people were all so nice and i loved all the other Corgis .All in all we had a great time .Growing pains !!!
Hope you all have a wonderful week :)

I'm glad to hear you are going to try again. I'm sure as she grows so will her confidence level. Socializing will get easier. I feel bad that she was scared. I wish we had a Corgi meet-up near me. I may check into Lincoln and Omaha and post at a couple of the specialty doggie stores to see if anyone is interested. Brynn is so lucky to have you!

Poor Brynn, sounds like she needs to grow up a little more. When augie first met Dale , and Dale was a puppy, Augie was pretty aggressive with him. Once Dale grew up, they were more equal (he could fight back)!!

Awww! Little Brynn. Hopefully she can ease into the idea that other dogs can be fun! I started Charlie in a local "Smal Dog Meetup", so he was the "big dog", or at least the same height as others. He was very nervous, but got into it pretty quickly. Now he can play in the "any size dog" area.

You might try Brynn at this small dog meetup group in Portland. She might appreciate some toy-sized friends until she gets more comfortable.

When my Vienna was a pup, she was very anti social, but the more meetups she attend, the better she handle herself. may be you can connect with some of the members and ask for a smaller play date?

Awww... poor little baby, that must have broken your heart! Don't worry, she'll be big enough to give them all a run for their money soon enough! :-)
