Hello...Sidney here again! It is still "spring break" for the human kids in my family, which means they get to hang out all day with me and the old guys. I love it! It means extra walks! Today we drove to a forest of really tall trees called "eucalyptus" trees. They smell funny. But there were lots of trails in this forest and we climbed up really high! I'm a short dog, so everything seems high to me, but this was the highest I had ever been! On this hike we only met a few people, but they all said I was a very handsome boy. I am learning to be nice and not bark at strangers. Becky has been carrying a squirt bottle to correct me if I forget not to bark, and it works pretty well. I'm also walking nicer, which makes everyone happy.
After we came home and rested for a little while, Mom took me to a drop-in obedience class. This is where all the humans who have forgotten how to behave around their dogs can come and remember. They have a great doggie playground there, and I spent some time before class running through tunnels, jumping through tires and up ramps and over bridges. I met a cute little girl corgi there named Maggie. We got to play together! Once practice started, my human got to review heel, sit, down, wait and stay with me. She was so proud of me, because I did really well. She says I need to learn to "come" still, but I don't want to. Toward the end of class we got to play some games, like musical chairs but with these big hoops for us dogs to sit in. I made it about halfway through, but a big old lab muscled me out of my hoop! Oh, wait until next time, buster! I may be small, but I'm fast, and I'm learning a lot every day!
It has been a lond day and I'm really tired. Until next time, bye bye!
