Go and see, and temperment test results

Ok, this is the week we get to go see the puppies! I am so excited. I have managed to find a few videos on uTube that show 4 and 5 week old puppies so I think I know what to expect. They will be 5 weeks old tomorrow (Monday) and I am wondering if it is still to early to tell what they'll be like as far as personality goes. I know color can dramatically change too.

I would love to hear what kind of personality temperment testing you guys did your pup and did it accurately predict the way they turned out?

You can use the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test. Ideally the test should be conducted at 7 weeks, but you can probably get a general idea of the differences in the puppies' personalities now.

I remember years ago when we were at our breeder's place. Silvia and I did some tests of our own, each of us would stand far apart in the opposite end of the room or yard. Then we would call out puppies and let them run to us. we take turns in calling them so the puppies would run back and fourth between us. We looked for several things: Response, how they react, who came first, who came last, were they interested, how did they react among their siblings. So you can get a rough idea and see which one is needy, bossy, slow, reserved, independent...etc.
