When I bought Henry (first dog) at my age <50+>, I believed the person that told me he was a Dachshund. Over the months Henry morphed into the cute mutt you can see today. I believe he's part corgi, and he looks it at times; with that large chest, long body, stubby legs and ears that are mostly erect. Because I love this mystery mutt I've asked our vet about a DNA test. Our vet is from the old school, and won't pursue the testing, therefore; Henry is now a contestant on http://www.luvmutt.com/blog. He is listed in batch number 3. I really hope to win the main prize which is a DNA test, but it will be interesting to see what others think he may be. {Besides the best dog in the world}…

And yes I want to find a 'real' corgi to share my life with...

I vote for Daschund/Corgi cross - "Dorgi". Either way Henry is absolutely precious. :-D

A Dachshund/Corgi mix is known as a `Dorgi'. Queen Elizabeth II of England has at least 3 of those. Her 1st. love is still the Corgi. She had her 1st. Corgi when she was 8 years old, given to her and her sister, the late Princess Margaret by their Father. So far, she has owned over 30 Corgis!

Suzanne, Henry is just adorable. I love the one ear up, other ear down. Could be that he's a Dachshund/Corgi cross. He is just the cutest and I'll bet spoiled doggie around. You can order DNA kits online through the following company. They send you a kit with a swab that you swipe inside their cheek.
