While we do not have Holloween here in Taiwan, but we do have the annual corgi meetup. People coming from all over the island come together to celebrate their short legged furry best friend. The last estimated I got there was
over 500 people and over 300 Corgis showed up! We visit and talked with each other about our dogs and handed out treats to all of the dogs, none corgis included! There were pet products sponsors on hand to demo the products. Vets were on hand giving out advices as well.
There were competitions:
Tug-of-War: where 2 corgis connected by a rope to their harnesses and to see who is more eager to run to their owner. Of course there were 3 weigh classes, just to be fair.
Speed eating: who finishes the 100 g of dog food the fastest wins. There were 2 rounds each for adults and puppies. I am happy to say Chewie won second place in the adult division!
Staying power: who can sit and stay the longest with their owner walking away wins!
It was amazing to see that many corgis in one place. We all had a great time. Yoda and Chewie were out cold on the way back!
I am not a great photographer and the competition took place under a giant roof, so please bear with my bad photographic skill...
