I am starting to get my life together, there is just one thing left to do, get a steady job and apartment. As soon as I get that cleared, I'm going to finally get my corgi if I can find him. To finally get my life together and hopefully be financially stable will mean I can support a dog in my life. I keep dreaming of corgi puppies so I think this might be my year. Will be looking for that stable job through this month and the next; or until I find it. then I'll be here looking for my young corgi friend to bring into my new home. Wish me luck!

Don't rush getting a corgi, they are an expensive breed and a lot to commit to. I would wait until you've had a job for at least 4-5 months and have a good and stabile environment for your puppy. Always think "what if?" and keep every detail on your mind of owning one. 2013 is a new year, every year is full of new opportunities!

Don't jump the gun-it wouldn't be bad to have a large emergency fund, in case something goes wrong-either with you, your job, your living arrangements or your puppy! I have gone through a lot of grief for thinking I was financially stable enough to adopt Ziggy on top of already having a cat when I didn't have the funds saved up first.. Ugh, no. Bad things that have left me feeling guilty and like I'm an awful person.

Of course, I still have Ziggy and that's amazing but I couldn't have done it without everyone being so generous and caring not only towards Ziggy but also myself.

But it was hard, and it's something I really wish I hadn't put Ziggy or Skittles through.

Ack, I hope I'm not sounding preachy or like I'm trying to down on the parade Dx Or maybe you've even got emergency funds already! If so, please ignore me haha.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, if you know of any upcoming litters or needing-adopted corgis near west-central Ohio, let me know, I'd really like it to be full corgi but adoption is always an option ^_^

Get ready, then wait.  Luck is when Preparation and Opportunity meet.

Don't be in too much of a hurry.  The right dog will come along.
