Thursday, May 16 we drove about 90 miles each way to visit our friend Gail Carden who has a very special business in Fort Payne Alabama called Challenges Met Therapeutic Riding School. Kids with special needs get great therapy by riding on horses. We got to see some of the clients during their…

Bogart had a great weekend (yes, he told me so himself). Friday afternoon we played with other dogs at the dog park, Saturday morning we went for a run. In the afternoon Bogart had a play date in the back yard with Newton the Otter Hound and Oppenheimer the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV) - see below:…

I don't remember our previous Corgi ever having a cold... but I have found out dogs do get them!
Last Sunday evening Bogart clearly wasn't himself. Instead of being right under foot in the kitchen he stayed in his bed while dinner was being prepared. His nose was warm and I took his temp - first time - with a special digital thermometer I got at PetSmart. He didn't fuss about the temperature taking (in the behind) and it was 100.2,…

Thank you! Wow I must say, Bogart is a very dapper looking pup. Is it weird I almost wish to see him in a top hat? :D
You are so helpful! Thank you so much!
I think that Ozu would be really interested in meeting Bogart. None of his canine pals here are Corgis... His first close companion was a Golden Retriever and for a long time, it seemed that Ozu thought that he was going to grow into a Golden. Then one day, the realization that he wasn't struck and he was very sad for a few weeks.
Bogart is so beautiful...
From what I've seen on this website, all the Corgi's are beautiful!
Have you seen this yet?
There is a Squishable Cardigan Corgi prototype in the process.
Here is the link to the webpage.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Bentley. Bogart is a nice looking cardi. My husband and I lost our first Pembroke, Comet in Dec 2012.
My husband's parents were the first to have an IW, I fell in love with them. They are truly gentle giants. We had our female when our daughter came along and I never saw a more patient, gentle dog with a child. Bex learned to pull herself up by holding on to the dog and Tasha would just stand there and let Bex hold on to her. We lost Tasha at age 10...a very good age for an IW. We got her as an older puppy from a shelter...she was given up because she was getting too big. Really...what did you expect? We got our male Duffy at 10 weeks...I never saw a dog grow so fast! I swear his legs were longer when I got home from work then they were when I left! Sadly we lost him at age 7.
As much as we love the breed our hearts cannot take their short life spans...it's hard enough to lose a beloved critter but when it happens too soon your heart gets rubbed much to raw.
No I haven't sadly. The search continues.
