It is now 4 more days until we get to bring our puppy home!! The only problem is that it is a 7 hour drive to the breeder's house. We had tried for many months to find a breeder closer to us with a litter planned, but we've had no luck until now. It is going to be the longest 7 hours of my life, I'm sure!! But, it will be so worth it. We are pretty prepared for our little guy's arrival. We bought a carrier for the ride home, a leash and collar, some toys, and some treats. We already had food, as we feed an all life stages formula to our 4 year old beagle mix, but I had to buy a small bag of the brand that the breeder feeds so I can gradually switch him over. We are having trouble finding a bed, and we plan on going to a few Petsmarts on the way back home from the breeder's to find one.

Aaahhh!! I hate waiting!!

All will be fine...I picked up my 3rd pup 8 hrs away and at 8pm at night because from the time I bought her till she was ready to leave they had moved from SD to WA...so she not only had to come back but then drive another 8 hrs (which tuned out to be longer) in pouring rain and storms...we made it fine but I didn't want to stop in the dark! we arrived home after 4 am and it rained for days!!! Bella loves the rain!

good idea about the towels and if you can find some waterproof pads(cloth) that people use these work great and wash well...I use these with my pups as they are sturdy and wash well!

ENJOY...

Oh my god he is so cute!!! Adorable!!
Make sure to stop every 2 hours on the eay back for a potty break. Although we did it for Shiro he still peed in the crate, silly boy!
Go to Goodwill to buy the bed (and towels). Old blankets are the best. There's no need to spend a lot of money on it as it'll get chewed up and soiled anyways :)

I wished I had those kinda pics. of jordan and his sire and dam,I saw them in person but never thought of getting pictures.

I'm jealous... I was supposed to be getting a puppy soon and the litters ended up not happening. *sigh* Anticipation is half the fun, and make sure you really enjoy that first day!
