I'm changing Gwen's food. And when we went to Tractor Supply to check out TOTW we saw their brand 4Health.

Have any of you bought/ used it?

We compared ingredients and percentage, they were almost indentical except one had 13% the other 14% of one ingredient

The TOTW was 47.99 for a 30lb. bag.

The 4Health was 36.99 for 35 lbs.

And when I get it(the new food) do you think I should buy a small bag first? Sooo new at this stuff. I'm driving my husband crazy. Good thing he loves me.

Thanks AGAIN!!

This one is just a Tractor Supply version of TOTW. My parents just switched their dog to this one and he is doing well on it so far. I would switch over slowly no  matter what food you choose. I feed Franklin TOTW mostly because it is more readily available and he has always done well on it.

Remember if you are doing this to fight a food allergy (as priss, charlie and Kaylee mentioned) then make sure to not feed any treats or other foods that contain different ingredients than what the kibble contains.

For me it would depend on the return policy. Since Petco/Petsmart/Pet Food Express in my area takes all opened food, I don't feel nervous buying foods my puppy might not like. I still wouldn't buy a 30 lb bag right from the start (carrying that thing back, no thanks!) though, I suppose. So yes, small bags! Haha.

I think it's made by Diamond/TOTW manufacturer. Many people here like TOTW and their dogs do well on it.

Buy a small bag and introduce it gradually in Gwen's current food. Give yourself 1-2 weeks before she is eating 100% 4Health. Hopefully she will like it and not have a digestive issues during the transition period.

I mention it in your previous post, but if the new food doesn't help with her allergies after a month or so on it 100%, consider a fish/salmon oil supplement.

It seems to be a really decent food, ingredients-wise. But yes, always do a test run with a small bag! I've had premium brands just flat-out not work for me, and I was so glad I didn't have 13 more kilos of it hanging out in my apartment!
