Today, I went to take Ein for his shots. From what I saw in the parking lot parked about 20 feet away from the mobile clinic, was a family by their car with a German Shepard and a chihuahua. All of a sudden, a big black dog (maybe a German Shepard mix) without a leash, comes rushing at Ein, furiously barking and growling. My bf grabbed a hold of the black dog as I quickly picked Ein up. I felt Ein growling(?) and trembling. Then the father of that family came and took his dog away with a leash. I then put Ein up on the table and he got his 4 shots on his trembly bunny butt. :(
Then the vet walked over to their car and scolded them. From what my bf heard, (I was too shaken to care about anything else and was comforting Ein) he heard the vet saying "If you know you have a dog like that it should ALWAYS be on a leash" "I don't care what your excuses are, I don't want to argue" "There's a dog park nearby, you should have your dog socialized" after some more talk, he asked what shots they needed.
As we were walking back toward our car, the family said: "We're sorry, our dog has never met another dog before"
Me: "Oh, it's okay.." thinking, (Oh really? So it's never even met the 2 other dogs you have in your car?)
So we're now home now, and Ein's okay. Poor Ein, he got attacked at and got shots. :( I gave him some treats and lots of hugs for being such a good boy.
