Q-tip, our dwarf hamster (Ein's little cousin as we liked to call him) has passed away today in the afternoon today, June 20, 2009. According to my bf, he had been fine this afternoon, poked his belly like he usually does, and Q-tip was scattering around looking for seeds. I can't believe that he's gone... He was my first hamster. Although he wasn't my bf's first hamster, he was still the best hamster ever to the both of us.

He was white, with black eyes that turned a pretty sky blue eyes when you held him up in the sunlight. We got him at a Petsmart around August 9, 2007, he was the only white dwarf hamster without red eyes.

He would nip at you if you stick your hand in his cage, but once you bribe him with a sunflower seed, you're free to pick him up while he's distracted and he would never bother to nip you once he's outside of his cage.

He would always be moving, scurrying, looking for his only passion, sunflower seeds.

He would slide down Ein's back when I placed him there.

He would chitter the cutest chitter if you held him up to your ear.

He would run in his wheel late at night, keeping us up for a while.

He would sleep in his little Q- tub on hot summer days.

He would stuff his cheeks with his sunflower seeds.

He had the softest fur.

May he rest in peace. We miss you so much Q-tip.
