So Adora got fixed this morning and is now home with us and doing great, a little to great. The vet and vet tech were very surprised with how well with did. My only thing is that it hasn't even been 12 hours since her sergury and she just woun't sit still. Constantly turning in her crate and wanting to play. She has also already managed to get the cone of, and has already jumped up and off the couch when we opened her crate to go potty she i just to darn fast. but isn't going after her suture site. Just in case we have her in a baby onesy. She is all for food and water, mind you when is she not. I am so not looking forward to this next week, after a long week i thing i need a week of quiet more than she does.

Yup that was totaly my girl, she was so happy and wanting to play and give kisses to all the vets and vet techs, they really enjoyed her lol, supposibly as soon as she woke yup she was watching the everyone in the vack and wagging her stump. By the time she got home she just had so much energy and wanted to FRAP. We introduced her to the oncey before hand, to get her use to it. So wearing doesn't mean anything. Her suture is done really well so that it can't ketch onto anything. Plus the onesy hang down off her belly about 1inch so it wount iritate. Her suture site has lost almost all redness overnight, im reallly impressed. We check every time we take it off to go potty, there has been no blood or discharge of any kind. we also have her out of it when we can keep a close eye on her. if her are cooking, cleaning, sleeping or out of the house then she wears it. But shes her normal self like nothing happened at all, it is really hard to keep her from wanitng to run and jump. I wounder if she even realizes she had surgury lol. But she is enjoying the attention.

it's funny how quickly dogs seem to recover. my ella was the same back to her old self right after surgery. the same day as her spaying the vet said she was already wanting attention and wanted to play. if she's not licking her stitches forget the cone and onesie. just limit long walks, but no reason she can't play. keep an eye on the stitches, you will know if she brakes one.

If she has any outside stitches or scabbing you might want to reconsider the onesy. It could rub on that and irritate the site. If she doesn't seem interested in bothering the site I would just let it be and pretend nothing happened just like she is. Also with the onesy having to come on and off for potty time and maybe having some leftover drips could leave the area not clean.
