Well after a horrible weekend we are bring home the new arrival. On Saturday on our way to meet the hopeful new addition Stoli the 2.5 year old Bengal cat. My father, my corgi and i where rear ended. Just 2 blocks from our destination. So glad I got Adora my corgi a seatbelt harness, after the accident my boyfriend, Adora(my corgi) and I were in just 2 and a half months ago. After about an hour of anger and frustration dealing with the other driver(17 years old, didn't know what to do, didn't look in front of her before putting her foot on a petal, didn't have her driver license on he, if she even had one period, not her vehicle, didn't know what registration was, didn't know what proof of insurance was, and why my dad was requesting all of this information). We started contemplating going back home because we had a hard time finding the house in one confusing complex. But we stuck through decided to go a little further and there it was. But after all that the meeting went great. Cat loved us, and Adora sat pretty and let the cat come to her. No hissing, no swatting, no barking, no chasing. Adora just sat beside me watching the cat that was walking around us. They said they would get back to us after a couple other family’s view her, as she was just adopted from the spca just weeks ago, she had gone through 2 homes before this one (one was a possibly abusive to her), and the wife did not now she was severely allergic until after the cat was brought to its new home. The family was looking for its forever home, rather than making the poor girl go back to the spca and have to go through the whole thing again. We got the call last night that they decide that we where the right family to be her forever home. Which was a great feeling after all we went through. We bring her home this evening and can't wait. Keep you posted on how the transition goes for both corgi and kitty. Adora has been socialized with other cats, but all the ones she knows like there space with dogs so it will be nice to have a cat that likes to play with dogs, and hang outside with them.
