Susan, and Dir & Nala had asked.
The appointment ended up going as well as could be expected, but also as expected, getting a sitter for leon ended up being the best thing. I'm glad I was able to, even if it was absolute last minute. Leon was picked up, and we left to the first stop for my appointment at 11:30a. The first bus ended up being late so we, james and I, didn't actually get to leave until almost 12:30p. It took us almost two hours to get up to where the clinic was and to the appointment. Sooo close to being late, so I wasn't able to get anything to eat beforehand like I had hoped to and was reccommended, though I did try. Anxiety ridden without leon, we arrived at the appointment, had no problems, and everything was finished and we were out by 5:30. And, haha, we were unable to get a cab back home. : | Bus again. *eye-roll* I asked james if we could walk around a little bit though after, I had been given some painkillers and was feeling a little woozy, and really wanted to get something to eat and try to walk it off a little so I wouldn't get sick on the bus home. He agreed and we walked down to get something to eat, and to my favorite movie store gruv, where I was able to poke through their anime section. My favorite part about going up to seattle. : ) 6:30, we were on the bus home again, which took an hour and a half to get back to kent. I wanted to get home as quickly as possible so I could get leon back home with me and make sure everything was still ok with everyone else. Plus the bus rides always seem to have the most undesireable people on them after dark. On the last bus a couple got in a fight in the back, and the guy ended up hitting her a couple times pretty hard. Brought my anxieties up to a whole new level. They all got off after the bus driver yelled at the guy, and then the lady who got hit was let back on. She looked really upset, and really, who could blame her. So we were home a little after 8p, and got leon back at around 8:45. We were gone a total of 10 hours.
The lady who watched him, a friend of my mom's, said everything was fine, though he spent most of his time crated in her garage other than for feedings and bathroom breaks in the front yard. Apparently her dog wasn't happy with him. : ( Can't win them all, but I am happy that someone was there to make sure he was taken care of. I apologised profusely for having taken so long, but she said it was ok. James stayed the night with us that night, and spent most of the next day. Made leon 100% happier. I spent my night on the sofa since I'm having a hard time with the spiral stairs, and leon decided he was going to sleep right on top of me, all splayed out. As weird as it was, he never does that and is usually at my feet or on the floor, I enjoyed having him there. It was like having my own little portable heater and my mini-protector there making sure I was ok.
And for the past couple of days I've been trying to stay off my feet while everything gets a little more back to normal. Ended up being a little more of a problem today. Woke up with horrible lower back pains, which have made walking and standing for more than a few minutes more than difficult. Really was hoping to get leon a bath today, but that was completely off the list. Oh well, just have to see if things are doing better tomorrow.
