I keep getting invites from "Corgis for McCain & Palin." First off, this is a site about corgis not ones' political views. Secondly I might be Independent but I will NOT accept propaganda from this website. I get enough of that crap sent to me by mail. Thirdly I ALREADY VOTED, and for your information it was not for McCain. How DARE you use this site as propaganda!

I am here to talk with people about corgis. Not be pulled into some political BS by someone who thinks it's funny or cute to use the corgi breed as a political tool.

This sickens me.

It has nothing to do with who is running for President. If I had gotten something like this for "Corgis for Obama," I would be just as upset as I am now. Not everyone on this site is American, or gives a crap about the American Election. Take your propaganda and shove it, I want nothing to do with it.

For those of you who actually care about what this site is for:

Banzai is doing fine. I am STILL housebreaking him. I have found that he is one of the rare stubborn ones, about this.

One of his favorite things to do now is to get, our cat, Lazarus to chase him. That's right, the cat chases the dog. XD

Banzai is a water baby! We take him to dog parks now and he can't help but play in any water bowl he finds. Such a goober.

I think that he really is a sable. He has gotten what we call, black "wings" down his shoulders and neck. I hope that his coat doesn't change too much more. I love the way he looks now. I have Halloween pictures that I will upload soon so everyone can see.

It will be interesting when we take Ed to the dog park for his first time. He loves the water hose and just wants to play in the water. He is a major water dribbler. Ein however is just beginning to like the water at the park and doesn't dribble at all when he drinks.

I truly love the delete key on my computer. I'm a lobbyist and you can imagine the amount of political garbage I get in my inbox--I share your pain. I ignore political requests here and other places. I get enough of it at work and I HATE POLITICS! Delete delete delete. I will be so glad when it is over.

Now for why we are here:
It seems like the favorite thing for a Corgi is to be chased...seems like they taunt each other into chasing. Love it. They get frustrated when both want to be chased and niether wants to do the chasing.

When it comes to water all four of my Corgis love the water...thankfully they don't play in the water dish, but we still have a mess around the water bowl. I call them dribble Corgis. Is it just my sloppy crew or is this a universal Corgi trait?

Good luck with the housebreaking. Every dog I have had responded just a little differently, the key is consistency so settling into one plan should make things work quicker. Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

I can totally understand how you feel regarding this election...

Yes, it is important. It ALWAYS is important, every 4 years. But I too am tired- tired- tired of being solicited and having propaganda shoved in my face 24/7. I was getting these ridiculous e-mails at work (always supporting McCain, go figure. Never anything pro-Obama). These e-mails were just insane, full of lies and rumors, I got so sick of it, and tired of deleting them, I finally sent out one big e-mail to everyone who was sending me these to STOP. And if they sent another one, I would cease to communicate with them at all. Most of the e-mails stopped, some still sneak in. Even today lol. I can't wait till it's over. Tired of the lies, propoganda and mud-slinging. I see that there were two new groups added pertaining to this year's election. If you are declining the invites and still getting them...that is extremely irritating and something should definately be done. Most people are saying to just shrug it off...but I personally know how irritating it gets- you can only ignore and 'shrug it off' for so long. Could you maybe just send them a message telling them to stop and you are not interested? Not sure how the group invite stuff works on here- I don't belong to any groups (I do my best to not associate with anything lol, just my philosophy.)

Anyways- good luck and stick with the training! And I can't wait to see Halloween pics :)

Hi Jen,
I don't think that being invited is equal to having someone's else's ideas or beliefs pushed on you. When I start a group, I invite everyone on my friend list; it is easier that way. I don't take it personally that people don't join, in fact, I don't expect everyone to join. I just don't want anyone to feel left out.

I was also invited to join the group you are speaking of and I am Canadian so it doesn't even pertain to me. It didn't bother me because I know it is a group invite. I don't believe the person sending expects everyone to join. It is really simple to just press "decline" if you aren't interested
.
What is happening in America today is very serious not just for America but for every country in the world. I know that in Canada, debate parties were held regarding the US election...today Canadians are traveling to Chicago to be ready to celebrate. This election is one of the most and will be, history making events of the century. The whole world is watching and waiting because we are all affected by it. It is to be expected that people on this site, as well as everywhere else, are excited about it and have formed groups to discuss these happenings.

This is the day that America should join together and pray that whoever wins can help America during this difficult times.

We just went through a similar election in Canada (for Prime Minister) on October 14th. I know what all the election hype is like and it can get tiring.

It will soon be over.

Take care....hope the housetraining picks up soon. Joy and Butter

Banzai will be a lot better when he turns 1, the teenage year is not easy, but you'll get through it. As far as the solicit mail goes, actually they can only be sent by people who on your friend's list, so if i was in your situation, I would deal with that person directly, next time if similar situation arise and you don't want to be confrontation about it, use the "report a boo boo" link, our team with handle it for you. It's better that way then buzz killing everyone's mo jo for the day :) I can certainly understand your frustration, it's 4:30am and you're fed up.

thanks for the update on Banzai! Corgis can be stubborn sometimes! Just keep trying, he will come around!

I have not experience the onslaught that you say you have. Saying it sickens you is harsh. Murder sickens me not some political views on this site that can be ignored and will be all over by tonight.
Comment by FuzzyButt on November 4, 2008 at 7:18am
I am sorry if it sounded harsh but I joined MyCorgi.com, not MyPoliticalCorgi.com. If I wanted to discuss politics, and show support to one party or the other; I would be on a debate website. I am on a website that has to do with corgis. That is what I am here for. The dogs.

Amanda, I think that our biggest problem is three different people trying three different potty training techniques on him. We talked it over and are going to try only one of the three. We'll see how it goes from there. Regardless I still love the little Fuzzybutt.

Well said. It's a shame that people will find every way they can to push their views on others.

Just have patience with Banzai, I got to the point with Dax that I had to just start taking him out every 30 minutes just to push the message into his head. Turns out it worked, he's 7 months old and doing great. No accidents! :)
