I just spent a month away from my FuzzyButt baby. I went to see my boyfriend up in Washington State. I was worried about taking Banzai with me since my connecting flight was in Chicago. American Airlines has a weather restriction when it comes to pets traveling in cargo. Below 40 degrees a vet needs to sign a waver stating that the animal can withstand the temperatures. But anything below 20 something degrees is not allowed. So I opted to play it safe and left Banzai home with my mom. It is a good thing that I did. When we took off from Tampa they said that it was 7 degrees in Chicago. As we were landing it was 6.

As for my "vacation" itself... All I have to say is, 'wow.' I got up there on Dec. 16, just in time for the record breaking snow storm of the decade. I think the top measurement of snow that we figured we got was 18". I haven't seen snow like that since 1994 in Louisville, KY. I LOVED IT!!!! I know all the northerners are thinking that I am nuts. But I love snow.

The Snohomish River flooded not too much later after the snow. Again there were record breaking floods and ALL of the passes were closed. I was having fun with it while everyone else seemed really concerned. Leave it to me to make light of natural disasters. What can I say, when you've lived in Tornado Allie you learn to take it all in stride.

Sadly, due to the snow and flooding we couldn't go far from Snohomish. So all those people that I had made plans to meet couldn't be visited. I spent my days curled up with my boyfriend, or taking risky trips out in the snow/rain for some adventure. I refused to let the weather keep me cooped up all the time.

I checked in with my Mom and Banzai every now and then. I laughed when I got a message on my phone stating, "your child needs you." Apparently Banzai was keeping my mom up that day. I loved hearing about Mom's progress with Banzai and his shenanigans with her. He snuck up on her chair and licked some butter off her crackers when she wasn't looking. XD

It seems that Banzai understands going potty outside now, and he doesn't pee in the house any more. But he still poops, and refuses to do it outside. *sigh*

I am back home now, wishing so badly that I was still up north. Banzai has his neutering date set for next Tuesday. Mom says that " he better lick his balls while he can." XD We're so mean to him, but he pays us back for sure. I don't care I missed my FuzzyButt.
