My breeder was feeding the puppies Diamond Naturals small breed puppy food. I was hoping to keep him on Diamond Naturals and also transition my Germans over to that food as well. Question is, shouldn't I be feeding him Large Breed formula? From everything I've read that seems to be the case.
Also... anyone have recommendations on good puppy treats?

Some really great foods besides "Diamond" are Natural Blance Ultra Premium; Blue Buffalo WIlderness; Chicken & Oatmeal Healthwise; and Earthborn Holistic Pet Food. Also Natural Balance Ultra Premium produces a wonderful treat as well.
Oh, I also feed the Diamond Naturals brand, just in large breed pup,,,
For treats, I use mostly string cheese. The cheese is easy on their gut and I think most string cheese is made with low fat milk. It's something they usually REALLY like but not overloaded with a lot of salt and funky by-products that may upset their delicate digestive systems. I will use some of the processed stuff sometimes but only on rare occasions.
I feed a regular puppy food until 8-9 weeks of age and switch them to a large breed formula to start lowering the calorie intake. Younger puppies can use a few extra calories to start out as they learn to eat dry food as they can be not too efficient about it. Then they start hitting those growth spurts and you deffinetly want to start regulating those calories/protein/fat a little better.
I actually feed ALL my dogs including growing pups 8 weeks and up a large breed puppy formula.
I would feed the large breed puppy formula. Corgis are definitely not a small breed!
For treats you can buy I like Zuke's Mini Naturals, you can buy them fairly cheap on amazon. You can break them into tiny pieces and they don't crumble. Little pieces of hotdog or cheese can work well too.
