Just Kidding!!! I'm not really giving up my sweet girl, but I'm frustrated enough with her this morning I'm feeling that "I'm about to put you out on the street corner with a sign that says 'take me,;" feeling that I used to get when Sky was little and naughty!

This morning Lyla was having lots of fun playing in the rain. This made it harder than usual for me to get her in from outside. (She is hard to get in on an average morning, today it was impossible!) I refused to chase her because she's too fast, she would win, and that would just reinforce running. I also didn't want to break out treats so she thought that if she was bad long enough mom would eventually just go get some good treats.

I usually just go inside when she does this and she'll come to the door, crying and wanting to be let in, but this morning she was not playing fair! Finally she went potty and I squatted down and started my over the top "Good potty Lyla!" party. She came running over for her petting and loving and I reached out and grabbed her. She squealed like a little pig.. not because she was hurt, but because she is such a drama queen sometimes! I know it was a low-down trick, but I was 30 minutes late to work thanks to her, and getting rather wet out in the rain. I just hope this doesn't regress her potty training or make it harder to bring her in next time as she tends to hold grudges against punishments like that! Oh puppies....
