Bear STOPS TRAFFIC!!!
Bear, my boyfriend and I went for a walk tonight and this gorgeous white Mercedes convertible went by. My boyfriend even commented on the car as it passed.
A few seconds later, the Mercedes had pulled a U-turn and stopped next to us, saying as he climbed out of his car, "I just had to stop and say hi to this cute Corgi!"
He threw his car into park and jumped out - looked to be about 50 or so, in his crisp white shirt, khakis and visor - looking like he just left the country club. He knelt down in the grass and loved on Bear for a good 5 minutes. He just lost a corgi that he had had for 16 years, that was also a tri-color.
When he had gotten his fill of Bear-love, he thanked us and climbed into his car and left.
I quickly told Bear that if he ever runs away, he should definitely run to that guy's house :)

Aaw, that is a bitter sweet story! I find that corgis are a good stopping force for people--I get stopped all the time with Freya. More often than not, Freya is pulling and whining to say hi to everyone near by.

Cool! Great story. I wish that would happen to me -- he's the PERFECT age for me, and I have two fab-oo Corgis who could help him get over his grief. To say nothing of me.... lol

OMG! That happens to Dally and I all the time! Although, a lot of times people ask if she'll have puppies, or if they can have a puppy from her, or even breed their male to her--I took care of that a few years ago, though!
