Bear Survived Anti-freeze Poisoning!!!

Hi , I wanted to give you an update on Bear. She survived the poisoning after being on Dialysis since February 22nd. at UF. She is home now and feeling great. Only time will tell if there is any permanent damage to her kidneys but right now no further treatment is needed and they seem to have recovered completely . A short month ago she was fighting for her life and today she seems like her old self . Mainly because we caught it in time, knew what it was, got the antidote quickly and then the Dialysis at University of Florda is what finally turned a potentially deadly prognoses around. I am told that only 1 in a 1000 survive antifreeze poisoning so we are very lucky. The reward of $10,000 is still in effect thanks to the contribution of John Pierson's Toyota of Stuart. and an investigation is still being conducted.
Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes,

Thanks Marion and Vern. I am doing everything possible to make sure he pays dearly for harming my little Bear. Animal abusers rank pretty low on my scale of evil people!

Betty thank you for the update on Bear. I wondered at times but did not want to intrude. Was over joyed when I saw this and hopefully there will be no complications for Bear. As for the person who did this well can't really put down what I am thinking only that I hope and pray that justice will come swift and hard for them.

Ooooh! Ok, now the other post makes sense. Good for Bear for pulling through, and good for you for not marching over there and beating him yourself (as would have been my first thought).

I'm so sorry about what happened to Bear, but I am glad he is doing better. I agree, it is a shame and a shocker, that someone with public trust, would act so inappropriately. I hope he gets what is coming to him, because I hear that karma can be a b!

Thanks everyone! I have alot of proof that is pointing to our neighbor that is at the moment being processed with our local sheriffs dept. The person who did it is one of our local "Captain of the Fire Dept" so it disturbs even me even more. If I can't get him thru our police dept I will file charges on my own.HE WON'T GET AWAY WITH IT! I'm out for blood. He's messed with one of my children and we all know how mad that makes us Mothers.

Congratulations to you and Bear. I hope you're able to catch and prosecute the person that did this.

I hope you get the proof needed to arrest the S.O.B. that poisoned your dog!

I also hope Bear has a long life with no complications from this horrible, horrible attack on him.

Yay! I'm so happy to hear that. Hopefully she will now be able to live a long and fruitful life with no further complications from it. And hopefully you'll be able to get your proof and that bastard will pay.
And you two are so incredibly lucky to live in an area where you were able to get such great help for her to be able to survive too.
