Took Cane to the Vet today and this was the result....

Poor Guy. We were playing ball with him on Sunday evening and he came up lame and wouldn't put his foot down. Intially thought he just stepped on something but couldn't find anything stuck in his pad, so then figured he just strained something which he has done in the past and is better in couple of days. But this was a little different as he wouldn't put any weight on his foot and he was licking it. So I took him to the Vet this morining and she x-rayed it and it turns out he broke his inside right toe!! She splinted it and will re-x-ray in 4 weeks and depending on the healing this could be on 4 to 8 weeks. How do you tell a corgi no fetch, running or long walks.....oh this is NOT going to be fun!! Vet said he was such a good boy though and very cooperative. We think he may have got his toe caught in a sprinkler head. My poor baby.

Poor baby!! He looks so sad. Cragar and Brody send many corgi kisses for a speedy recovery. Maybe a nice pig ear would make him feel better!!

Get well soon Cane. This same thing happened to my first corgi, Truman. His cast was purple and he sounded like he had on one high heel shoe when he walked across our hardwood floors!

Poor Cane! Wishes for a Speedy Recovery..... it's hard to keep a good Corgi down for long!

Aww well wishes for Cane, and he also mentioned he would like a personal "filet mignon chef" to cook for him and to personally feed him tasty sliver by sliver!

Too bad his other doggie friends cannot sign his little "cast".

Oh, poor boy! He will get through it, and you too....I had to keep Seanna quiet for 3 months after she tore her cruciate ligament. She did great though. They seem to know what the limits are.

Cane thanks you all for the get well wishes.....he is doing pretty good getting around so far although it is a bit cumbersome. It's so hard when he looks at us with that sad face hoping someone would please, please play with me.
