We picked up the newest member to our family last night, yay! Her name is Poppet and she is a 4 yr. old petite, sweet, red and white pembroke with a tail. She was originally from Australia, hence the tail. She came from the same breeder as Cane. She knew that we were planning on getting a second corgi last summer but right after we brought Cane home in May I found out my cancer had returned so we had to put that on the back burner. So yesterday (3/17) was a very sad day for us. It was time to say goodbye to our beloved Cobi. Cobi would have been 12 on June 17th this year. We will miss him terribly. He was always such a trooper and such a tough little guy, dealing with epilepsy for about 9 years and then recently degenerative disk disease which took the use of his back legs from him, but he plugged along with the use of a wheeled cart for outside and scooting wherever he needed to go inside. Yay, Cobi finally got his new wheels today. He really seemed to take to them quite well with the help of treats and his ball. It was so awesome to see him be able to walk & even run around on his own. He was able to chase his ball and take a short walk in the neighborhood. He even showed off his new wheels to a couple of our neighbor friends. I think Cobi is now beginning to think that this getting old thing just absolutely sucks lately.
