clicking feet

Does anyone know if its 'normal' for your corgi's feet or ankles to 'click' when they walk? Barney isnt overweight, and he is only 4 yrs old, but sometimes when he walks his joints make a clicking sound. There doesnt seem to be any pain surrounding his feet either. Just wondering if other corgi's 'click'. Thanks!

Comment by Ronda and Barney <3 on September 9, 2010 at 9:33am: Its not his nails, which reminds me I need to trim them :), this usually happens while walking on carpet as well. Its an on and off thing, some days he clicks other days he doesnt.

Comment by Angela Kau-Forsberg on September 8, 2010 at 4:09pm: I'm sorry to hear about Bailey. If the vet checked him out I wouldn't be terribly concerned. Honestly my left knee clicks and creaks but that's due to a minor misalignment that has something to do with that being the weaker knee. If it's only one leg, maybe you can find a way to exercise that one a bit more? Sorry if I'm no help on that one.

Comment by Ronda and Barney <3 on September 8, 2010 at 4:01pm: it sounds as if its coming from his foot/ankle area - the vet has checked him over before and didnt seen anything to be concerned about. is just odd that he clicks around sometimes..
Do your corgi's have allergies too, both of our did, Bailey had them so bad she ended up having a skin condition from it (smelly oily - even with medicated baths), and Barney has them but not as bad (thank goodness). Allergies hit both of them after about the age of 2. Bailey is no longer with us though :( .

Comment by Rachael & Waffle on September 8, 2010 at 2:27pm: Well, I don't know anything about this in corgis. ... But my joints click sometimes and it doesn't hurt. It just feels weird and gets annoying after a while. I hope Barney is okay!
