I would get a small one tailored to small dogs and cats.  Larger ones may be

too heavy for her neck and may not adjust properly.

MyPembroke is 11 weeks old and weighs 7.5pounds.  We got her 3 weeks ago and she weighed 3.4 pounds.  Her mother is 22 lbs and her father is 24 lbs.   She is happy and active.  I have heard that 8 week old corgis should weigh 8 lbs but I have yet to see one that weighs that much at 8 weeks.

Both my dogs gained about a pound per week, so they were about 8 lbs and 8 weeks. I would say she might end up on the small side, but it's hard to say when they are so young.

What Melissa  said about the collar is correct. I bought a smaller dog collar for a few when my pups were young but you can use a regular nylon one as she will grow fast and you'll just need to get another one. Maybe a thinner one would work for now.

make sure to get a collar for a dog NOT a cat. We had a chihuahua at the vet I worked at who wore a cat collar and got spooked and the collar broke and she got hit by a car. Just a warning to make sure you get a strong collar made specifically for a dog.

Franklin was 7 pounds at 8 weeks old. His parents were both small too (under 25 pounds) and he is 30# and not at all overweight. So like Jane said, every dog is different so its hard to tell how big they will get until they are around 1 1/2

I'm not able to check my records right now but if I get a chance I will on Mon. Every dog is different also and yours may certainly be on the smaller side. If she is happy and active and eats well (but not too much) I would not worry:)
