Corgi Games

Does anyone have little games you play with your corgi? Zoe loves a couple of them. The kids love to play hide and seek with her. We'll hold her in a room while they take off to another room and hide. Then Zoe tears through the house, looking behind doors, on beds and couches, behind the dining room table, etc. til she finds them. It's a hoot watching her search. You can almost see the gears in her head turning "have I looked here yet?"
Her other favorite is what we call "Hide and Treat." We'll grab a treat, walk her to a bedroom and tell her to stay.
Then we go into the living room and hide the treat somewhere. Then we sit down, yell "come and get it", and enjoy watching the frantic (yet methodical) search begin.

Comment by Amy and Marlee on September 1, 2010 at 10:07pm: Marlee loves fetch, but every now an then Clay, my 11 year old will steal her toy and race through the house. She chases him like mad. They can make a figure 8 between three rooms. She will get the toy when he drops it or she snags it from him, then the game gets even wilder when he is chasing her. My son, being slower, double backs on her and she even runs even harder. She gets the biggest kick when she catches him at his double back. You can tell that she is watching, listening, and thinking which way he is going. I've noticed that lately she is using the double back for her advantage now. It really makes her mind work as fast as her legs. Marlee really has a brain for chasing, and for tiring out a giggling boy.

He does all sorts of tricks and then we will pretend to throw it and he runs and looks all through the house lol then my hubby runs everywhere with it then drops it randomly n he spends just a few seconds to find it. He loves this game:)

He will look at it and then at us and if we make a move towards him he will grab it and run off with it and toss it around while barking. It is very funny and he is obviously disappointed if we don't want to play.
