Kind of a funny story.. I work as a flight attendant and travel all over the world. When I am gone my son and Jack Dog stay with grandma. We all skype daily and I get to talk to Jack. He tilts his head and stares at the screen like "hey.. how did you get in there??" Anyway, I have been in Japan for the last 2 1/2 wks. I walk daily and always go buy a dog park. There was an elderly couple with a darling (fat) Corgi. I gestured to them if I could pet their dog and they nodded. As I loved up the sweet little fella, they spoke some english to me and we started a conversation. They are soooo crazy about that Corgi and I told them I had one as well. They smiled and shook my hand and we walked and talked with them for an hour. We meet each day at the same park and I get to play ball and walk with them and their dog (wish I had a clue how to spell his name). Those crazy Corgi's are all over the world and anywhere you go they are cherished pets.

Cool story. If you are ever in Taipei, let me know and I can show you my Corgis!
Aww, what a cute story! And I'm so jealous that you get to spend time in Japan! :P What does his name sound like? Yuki's name is actually Japanese ("Yuki" is the Japanese word for snow, which I felt was appropriate since he's an all-white Eskimo dog!)
That's so sweet! Corgis are such a special breed.
It's great you still get a corgi to visit with even halfway across the world.
Ellen, I can imagine it. Instead of republicans and democrats you'd have Cardigans and Pembrokes. Any corgi mixes could be the independant party. California is already ahead of everyone in the US with a corgi living with the governor.
Corgis have no borders! Now...if we could just get corgis into government leadership positions...the world would be a better place! Frapping instead of Fighting!
Awwww, cute story:)
