Patricia, I did a little research and this is what I found:

"Marmite have announced a new limited edition called Ma’amite to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. This will be Marmite’s fourth limited edition after their popular Guinness, Champagne and Marston’s Pedigree versions. The new limited edition sports the Union Flag on the jar and says it is made from 100% British yeast, which raises a question about where the yeast normally comes from.

Ma’amite should be ready to buy from Sainsbury’s after Monday 16th April 2012"

Personally I have not tried marmite, vegemite or any variations thereof, but hearing the descriptions I don't think I'd like it very much!

You won't be able to buy any Marmite until the get the factory up and running again in Christchurch.  Rare as hen's teeth now... lol.  Have to have Promite, or Vegemite (Australian).  Or Bovril (UK)...  ick.

sorry I don't get the ad.  Is it Ma'amite or Marmite?  Or is it because Marmite has run out due to earthquake damage and it's a pun...  Is there actually Ma'amite?

Just saw this now.  So funny!  I notice the Corgi is a bunny butt though;  funny since they can't dock in England anymore....

After living in England for 35 years I hated the stuff and my wife loved it.  So there you go, some love it  and the other half hate it.
