In the past month or so Lucy has added to her ever growing vocabulary: different levels of growling. Does anyone else's Corgis do this? I find it pretty funny. She does it when she plays with her…Continue

As we all know Corgis can become quite stubborn and independent-minded and Lucy, at 18 months old, is no exception. But twice now Lucy has given me a level of sass that bothers me a lot and I am not…Continue

I was curious as to how folks secure their beloved Corgis in their cars when they travel. Since she was about 12 lbs. Lucy has ridden in a booster seat that allows her to see out the window; she is…Continue

It's tough to accept as she is not quite 2 years old, but Lucy is having difficulty with her hind legs, weakness that makes it nearly impossible to go up a step or even walk. Had to take her to the vet who x-rayed her, though it did not show much. Given her symptoms and how she is walking, he believes it is some kind of disk problem--it just couldn't show up on the x-ray. She is on restricted rest and some meds. I am supposed to watch for "knuckling" that will indicate a decline and then I…

Lucy is asserting her independence and her mischief by ignoring me completely when I call her. She will look up and right at me, pause, then bound off in another direction. Treats only work once, then after that the chase is on... She will come bounding back if I begin to walk away but never close enough for me to grab her collar to releash her. She will also come if I am with a friend and she or he calls her!! She doesn't mind the leash, but she has turned releashing her into a big chase…

Bogart the Cardigan said… Thanks for watching our videos! Bogart loves the camera, whereas our former Corgi Niblick would have a FIT every time the camera was in sight, barking and barking like it was a bomb about to detonate.

Cassie, Camden, and Oaklie said… She is a cutie- looks a lot like my Camden in coloring.
As for your concern about her eating things- I have the same problem. Trash is a big issue, as are pieces of mulch, pinecones, etc. As for grass and dirt, Camden does the same. Normally this isn't a problem, but pay close attention to what is in the dirt. I've had incidents that he wasn't eating grass, he had found rabbit droppings. Those kinds of things can lead to parasite problems (Camden had giardia) but worms could also be transferred by feces. You just have to be vigilant. Has she had a recent fecal sample done?
