Brandon and I leave for Las Vegas in 3 days. We'll be heading out Sunday for a stop over at his brother's house for the night. But, with the recent snowy weather that has arrived today, I'm starting to worry that roads are going to be icy. We recently had a few warm days, and that may turn the snow to water, then to ice overnight. About a week ago, we had our first snow of the season with turned out to be a blizzard. I'm hoping this isn't going to be a repeat of that.

If things go off without a hitch, it's going to be a week of fun, sunshine, warmer temperatures, and picture taking. I've still got to wash all my new clothes I got just for the trip, pack my check bag and carry-on bag, take Riley to my sister's to babysit while we're gone (including his food, toys, and rawhides), get my oil changed and tires rotated for the trip to Rapid City (all lined up for tomorrow).

I can't wait, I'm so excited! I haven't been out of my hometown in a long time, and a year or more since I was even out of the state. The last trip I took was a nonstop drive to a little 'burb outside of Kalispell, MT that lasted 17-hours straight, all because I wanted to save money on the hotel room up there. Never doing that again. I was dead tired, driving near forest fires that were going on, and trying to drive through winding, wet, ashy roads part of the way.

When you see me next, I'll have photos from Vegas and lots of stories to tell.
