When I was teaching Waffle to Wafflecopter (spin), I wanted him to spin 2 times in a row, not just one. So, I would tell him to Wafflecopter, and he'd spin once, then I'd say "Do it again!!!" really excitedly while making the hand motion, and he'd do it. Well, with this, he learned pretty quickly to do Wafflecopter with 2 spins instead of one.
Now I'm trying to teach him to bow. I can't quite figure out a way to make him bow, so it's a very slow process trying to capture the behavior with a clicker. I can predict when he's going to do it, but I don't always have a clicker and food on me. Sometimes he'll do it three times in a row after I capture it, but then I can't get him to do it after that. I must be giving him some bizarre cue I'm totally unaware of.
I correctly predicted bow today, and he did it once. I was waiting for him to do it again, so I told him, "Do it again!!!" and you know what he did? He spun around once! Amused, but also knowing Wafflecopter is a behavior he presents whenever he really wants food, I told him to "Do it again!!!" again. Well. He spun again.
Looks like I can add "Do it again!!!" to the list of things I accidentally taught him, along with...
Kitty
Dog
Puppy
Ducks
Birds
Ponies
Do Something
Dinner
Food
Outside
Babies
...
And who knows what else.
Oh, and he can hover.

I never thought of "do it again!" That's too cute. I worked with Baxter on the "bow" command and it was really hard. I had to manually hold his butt up in the air for awhile. Keep up the good training!
It almost look like waffle is doing a bunny hop!
They learn some things so fast! We have spell out certain words to keep them from getting excited. I'm sure it won't be long until they learn to spell! LOL
LOL... The ending was awesome! "he can hover"
