If I'm on, I'd get on chat.  I'll occasionally check to see if anyone else has said anything.  I'm on at all hours of the day

I work nights as well, usually on Sunday night - Monday morning and Monday night- Tuesday morning.
I'm more of a chill out and relax kind of person, I like to get to know people and chat is a good way to do that.

Worse case is you post and no one replies, but if I'm on I'll more then likely reply.

I'll have to remember to check in then. Chat used to be really busy and I'd be on for hours, then it got really slow and every time I'd check, nobody would be around. Nice to hear that people are going back.

I work nights (and days, and evenings, with no rhyme or reason) so I'm frequently up in the middle of the night on my nights off. I'll have to check out chat! I usually hesitate to use chat on boards that I'm on, because it seems like everyone knows each other, and I'd be the "intruder". But you have to put yourself out there to make friends, I guess! :-)  I'm not a power poster, more of a lurker type.
