Emmy had a fantastic weekend. On Thursday we went to the dog park to play with friends. Emmy didn't care too much for the small dog area, so we went to play with the big dogs and Emmy fit right in. She is very polite and submissive while also being playful so it worked out. Toward the end of our time there she kept laying down and her mom was scared she would get stepped on so we went back to the little dog area where she played with a Chihuahua and a Pug until it was time to go home. That was a great first visit to Wiggly Field and mom knows from now on to bring Emmy's big water bowl, and some cold ice water because Emmy doesn't like the water fountains. Mom also needs to bring a towel for Emmy to sit on in the car because Emmy likes to roll in dirt. Also, Mom should bring herself a Sonic beverage because it is hot and Emmy wants to play all day.
On Friday, Emmy's daddy came to visit and he played with her so much. He let her do all the things that mommy doesn't let her do like sleep on the bed. Emmy learned a new skill. It has taken her so long to learn stay, but I think we've finally got it down.
Emmy also learned to successfully ring her bell to ask mom to let her outside. She has been very consistent with this and has done it over 10 times this weekend. She doesn't bark to go out anymore and she doesn't pee on the floor. I am very happy!
Today Emmy's mom had lunch with friends so Emmy went to visit her friend Finn (see previous blog post). They slept in Finn's crate together until their mommies came home to watch them play together. They ran around the house and rolled around with each other. Finn is much bigger than Emmy, so Emmy is going to have to pick up some speed if she doesn't want to get caught. We will work on this :).
