First week back at work...

Monday started Machete's first days alone in the house without either of us — safely crated, with his water bowl accessible & the puppy cam focused right on his little face — and he did SO WELL!!

Seriously, best little pup ever! He didn't mess his crate, he totally amused himself or stayed napping, and when I came to visit him on my lunch breaks he went potty very quickly and was happy to play. He's done great on the housebreaking so far, though I can tell he's getting a bit of cabin fever (me too!) with the blizzard blocking all the walking paths around here.

We're trying to keep him amused for his training and such, so far so good. Today I'm home from work because the new engine on my car needs adjusting, but trying to stick to his "work day" schedule, so Machete's napping right now...

It sure is hard to leave him every day, though!

(a coworker gave him a present with two puppy toys in it and he LOVES them, loves them!)

Comment by rae on February 13, 2013 at 3:08pm: right now i think machete's favorite is a tie between his duck (that we sent to the breeder so he could bring home something familiar) and his squeaky ball. but there's this red plush squeaky bone my coworker gave him with rope ends on it, that he likes a lot, too.
