Well folks I have learned a new trick! Yep, Cosmo has taught me another one and he is so good I didn't even know I was learning. As I stagger downstairs for my morning coffee he lays down between myself and the coffee maker. I found myself going through a new routine without even knowing I was being conned! This interception of my path seems to have led to a 30 minute belly rub (he's gooood) while I sit on the kitchen floor longingly looking at the coffee maker. Yep guys, I am a pretty quick learner and he's a master instructor, lol!!

I can see from Maya's couch photo that she and Cosmo would be vying for position, lol!! Having read and read and read all the post on this site, I've come to the conclusion that the only thing better than having a Corgi in your life would be having multiple Corgis, lol!!!
Maya's most commonly used nickname is "kitty". She lays on the back of the couch [the cushions are no longer the shape they originally were.. almost a corgi-mold], chases flies, LOOOVES catnip toys and mouses, and sleeps on my head and neck. When we go to bed, her "throne" is the pillow behind the one I use. She wraps her legs around my head [back feet on one side, front feet on the other, and tummy on the top where my hair is] and sleeps like that.
Her favorite trick to wake me up RIIIGHT at 7am is to lay on me. On my head, back, chest.. however I'm laying in bed, she will just find someplace to lay right on top of me, enough to make me uncomfortable and get up ... and therefore feed her. Today she did the same thing but did a corgi-belly-flop onto my back, and got our Newfoundland mix to jump up and lay across my side. Needless to say they got their breakfast nums right away.
Isn't it amazing how us "old dogs" can still learn new tricks Laura, lol!!!
I think Cosmo believes he's a cat sometimes. For some reason he likes to climb behind my head when I'm sitting on the couch and puts his entire weight on my neck. Of course that isn't sufficient, he then nuzzles my ear until scratch his snout. He has even fallen asleep there. Ever had a 35lb Corgi sleep on your neck?
I've learned a similar new trick: Lucy woofs to go out to pee/poop, but instead of trotting to the door when I pick up the leash, she stretches out and rolls over for a belly rub. Of course, I give her what she wants--she knows I can't resist and she seems to be in no hurry to go out! I have become well trained indeed to respond to her woof. Where's my treat?
Lol sneaky bugger! That's really cute ahhaha!
