I just wanted to post a quick note to say that Brodie has made great progress this week with his separation anxiety issues. I checked into the Pet Naturals of Vermont comfort chews that Melissa was using on Kirby and found them at a local health food store. I tried one on Wednesday evening when we had to be gone and he seemed to do really well. I held my breath, because anything can work once, as you all know. Well, yesterday we had to be gone for over 8 hours, so I tried it again. Great results again! Then today we had to be gone all day and he even walked into his x-pen for me on his own this morning! No whining or crying or having to force him in! Then I came home to a very happy dog. I really think those are making a difference, so I thought I'd share in case anyone else has issues and they might work for them! :D
Thanks again, Melissa and Kirby! (And Franklin, of course!)

Much easier! And like you had said, I was starting to see that the Ace wasn't working as well, because he was building up an immunity to it. I feel a lot better about leaving the house now!
So glad they are working for you!!! I really do think they help Kirby too. I haven't had a problem at all when I use them and like you said, he goes willingly into his pen now. Today I didn't give him one because I was only going to be gone about an hour and it was sort of a fight to get him in his pen. He did get a good treat and didn't tear anything up while I was gone but he was very anxious when I got home and running up and down the hall and just basically being a big pest, which he doesn't do when I give him the chews. I think they really do take the edge off. So glad I found them and also an alternative to having to drug him! Life is so much easier with a less anxious dog!
