I told Gromit and Holly about the National Geographic special "And Man Created Dog." They were keen to see it, family history and all that, so I recorded it on the DVR and we all sat down to watch it together after dinner. I was able to catch some of their comments on parts of the show. Much to my surprise Gromit watched almost the whole show with Debbie and me but Holly bugged out before it was over. Here's some of their thoughts on the program:

clever and entertaining Doug, by the way. Ziggy has just been "de-flowered" and is doing very well. I out a few hundred dollars for things she has chewed (mostly computer connections and electical cords but she's getting better. Loves everyone, dogs, children and Adults.

Ziggy, keep up those work outs! You're a California beach hottie, for sure. As for me, I'm saving my strength should there be a sheep infestation of our backyard. - Gromit.

I was running on the beach and you dogs were watching t.v., sleeping & polishing the easy chair . . . . well, I guess when I'm older that's what I'll do to. For the record---that setter didn't do it for me---but Gromit, now that's a hot-dog.

So creative and funny Doug - well done! Gromit and Holly really could have their own show!

That was pretty good! Radar and Cooper were laying down and when the Corgis came on they both sat up and watched. That was pretty cool. When I watch True Blood, they perk up when the were wolves howl. lol

Thanks all, for the nice compliments. I've never had a dog that would watch TV like Gromit did. I was amazed at how tuned in he was to things on the screen. He'd lose interest during the commercials (smart dog!) and then when a dog or dog bark would come back on he was glued to the screen again. I couldn't figure out why some dogs got his attention more than others, though. The outdoor scenes seem to catch his attention more than the generic shots of dogs.

I watched it too, it was really fascinating. Bear and Goldy slept through it, shocking I know.
