As we are digging out from 6-8 inches of snow this morning, Becca and I would like to wish everyone a happy first day of spring. I was shocked to get a snow day off from school today, it was supposed to rain. Becca has enjoyed my day off by playing in the snow, walking with some doggie friends and now having a snooze.

My ipad won't let me put an image on the blog, so I'll add it to photos.

I sure hope we are done with any major snow here or minor for that matter.  I would take the heat any day over the cold and snow /snowstorms!!

LOL! You can't shovel heat!

I agree Jane. As sick as I am of the snow, it is better than excessive heat. Though if we get the forecasted nor'easter next week I may change my mind.

I think I'll take the cold. We have some 100+ days and high humidity but too much heat sounds worse!

@ Jane: eeeek! Looks like Siberia!

Welp...pretty soon it'll be 118 here, so we'll have some new bragging rights. ;-)

Oh Vicky you're missing out....not. Here are 2 pics of the same fence...notice how the snow has gotten much higher in 6 weeks. We've had more since then! We're not talking inches but feet and then add -50 winchills...not the greatest winter. Worst in 35 years around here!

Wow! I've never lived anyplace where it snows...sounds like an alien world to me! Spring has sproinged in these parts, and the pool is ALMOST warm enough for polar bears to swim in.

My dogs brought in half the dirt from the field yesterday...since much of the snow is gone...black dirt is more fun!

Thank goodness they drop the dirt off and it can easily be swept up.
